Paper Crafts: Inspired By Challenge

Happy Monday! How has your week started? We had a tiny storm earlier, but now it's cleared off. I put my book down earlier and told myself I couldn't pick it back up until after I had made a card. DH says, "Nothing like making yourself make a card." I know, right?!

So, I noticed on the Paper Crafts blog this morning that tomorrow is the last day to enter the Inspired By Challenge. I also noticed at that time there were only about 25 entries, so don't anyone else enter, please, because that improves my odds of winning! Bwahahahahahaha! If you must go ahead and mess up my odds, the challenge is to use a vintage typewriter as your inspiration and create a card in one of the 4 styles: Clean & Graphic, Shabby & Vintage, Classy & Elegant, or Fun & Cute.

I showed dh the card to get his opinion, explaining that it was inspired by a vintage typewriter and was done in the clean & graphic style. Here's how it went:

DH: Yes, I like it. It's very clean and graphical and cute.
Me: No, not cute. Just clean and graphic.
DH: No, not cute. Just clean and graphical.
Me: Right.
DH: I would never say your cards are cute.
Me: Well, sometimes, they're cute. Just not this one.
DH: Right. This one is definitely not cute.

Glad we got that straightened out! After some more blah, blah, blah, he informed me when I speak to him, I need to address him as "husband." Hmmm, we'll see how that works out. He shouldn't have had that nap earlier, he's a little too *awake* and *alert* now!

Okay, back to my book. You knew that was coming, right?! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Edited to add: Did you notice this really works for the Clean & Simple 100th sketch too?!

Rule #1, never ask the husband about your craft because there's a 75% chance they'll say thing you don't want to hear OR have an opinion on where things need to be located.

Very graphical indeed. I love the strip down in the bottom. You're just fabby you know!!
