Happy Sunday, peeps! Hope you are having a good weekend! I've been MIA for awhile, but I should be able to get lots of good stamping done this week while I'm off for Thanksgiving vacation! Whoo! Hoo!Above are a couple of simple, quick cards I made a few weeks ago with the retired All the Trimmings Simply Scrappin' kit. I met up with a few teacher friends one Sunday so we could work on Christmas cards. I was much too preoccupied holding the darling baby Ben to get many cards made, though! See how cute he is! (I stole this picture from them from Facebook, hope they don't mind!) I got to babysit him yesterday, pure heaven!
Okay, better get movin'! Today is dh's birthday, a happy 47 years to him! It seems inconceivable, I met him when he was 23 years old (4 months before his 24rd birthday) and he seems like the very same, wonderful boy to me!
Have a great Sunday! Thanks so much for stoppin' by! Hugs and happy stamping!
Happy Saturday! Hope you are having a great weekend!I took a quick break a bit ago and made this for Kazan's Sketch #39 over at 2S4Y! I haven't had time to play with them for awhile and I've missed it! It was getting dark outside, so the photo didn't turn out the greatest. If you have any questions about anything, let me know! That's it for now...back to lesson plans. One week left before Thanksgiving break, whoo! hoo! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!RecipeCardstock: Bermuda Bay, Real Red, Crushed Curry, old book page.
Accessories: Real Red Polka Dot Ribbon, Snowflake Punch, Linen Thread, Mini Glue Dots, chipboard frame made at a scrapbook store-unknown die, MLS Mini Alphabet Stickers, Autumn Leaves button.
Happy Sunday! Here is the Top Note Box...revisited! You might remember it from back here, but I was so honored when Beate asked me to write a tutorial for the Splitcoast Stampers Holiday Blitz, how could I say no! You can check out my new tutorial here. Be sure and look around at all of the Holiday Blitz projects featured this week, wowza, there are some great ideas! I can't wait until Thanksgiving Break to try some out!For the above box, I used the new Stampin' Up! wood sheets. They are so cool and I haven't played with them enough. The embellishments are from the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit. Below here is a variation box using some other goodies:
If you have any questions, feel free to leave them in the comments or shoot me an email! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
Whoo! Hoo! It's Friday! Here's a little treat box I made for my Stampin' Up! November Artisan challenge. SU sent all the Artisan Award winners the Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin' Kit and asked us to create something using it, so this is what I came up with. I thought the colors would work with some peppermints, so luckily I found a few kinds at Walgreens up on the top shelf (this is before Halloween since the projects were due earlier).I used the Big Shot and the Fancy Favors Bigz XL die. Don't you love that top edge of the box? I didn't want to cover it up, so I added a paper ruffle (just folded paper over) and glued it to the inside of the box with sticky strip tape. The ornament is one of the repositionable die-cut stickers, and I cut the "merry" off of one of the greetings. Easy peasy! Let me know if you have any other questions!Okay, off to school! We've been doing a farming unit and today we're making corn husk dolls and planting corn, should be fun. We're a little off season, so wish us luck! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!Edited to add: These are the candies from Walgreens that I used, click the photo for link:
I couldn't find these peppermint sticks on the Walgreen's website, probably because they are seasonal, but click the photo for the manufacturer website:

Happy Wednesday night! I blew off my school work (again, yikes!) and napped and then made this card for two challenges...Ashley Newell's fabulous Embellish Magazine challenge to use the above colors and and owl and the Everything but the Kitchen Sink challenge to use toilet paper! I like the toilet paper ruffle, but I just wonder who I can send this card to who won't think "Is that toilet paper on this card?!!" lol! Probably my grandparents, they love me no matter what! lol!
Okay, it's very late, I better get to bed. I'm counting down...2 weeks and 2 days until Thanksgiving Break. Ahhh, the hope of sweet relief! I swear, the hardest part of the teaching year (I reserve the right to change my mind later!) is from the Labor Day Holiday to the Thanksgiving Holiday...that is a LONG time with no breaks or days off in the teaching world!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Happy Birthday, Beverly! So I mailed this card earlier today, and I was debating on whether or not to post it until you received it in the mail, but I guess you see what won out! For the layout of the card, I used the Sketch This #94. It felt great to do a sketch challenge last night...instead of grading papers! hee!Glad to hear you had a good day! A flat screen in your scraproom?! I am seriously jealous!! I have the 19" from Lori's brother's first marriage! lol! You deserve it, though, so glad your family knows it!Now, here's a little story on getting old for you...a lunchtime conversation with one of my 2nd grade students:Student: Miss Tieman, why are you so old?Me: I just am. I've been alive a long time.Student: (sighs)Me: It's not so bad, it's better than the alternative. Student: What do you mean?Me: I'm still alive.Student: Yeah, but...it's just that you have a white hair right here. (Proceeds to point to the top of my head.) Can I pull it?Me: No. Student: Please?Me: No. (She's still thinking about it.) If you pull that hair, you're going to get a color change. (Student runs back to her chair.)I'm laughing big-time, of course, and so is she. Good times, good times. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Birthday again, Beverly! Hugs and happy stamping!RecipeStamps: Mark the Date, Full Calendar

Happy Sunday evening! I think this is my last card to share from the scrapbooking retreat, yikes! Looks like I better do some more "producing" fast! I totally planned on it this weekend, but somehow it never happened, sigh. Anywho, this is a super simple card with Kraft cardstock (again!) and some more Cosmo Jolly by Golly goodies. The ribbon is Sleigh Bells from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog, isn't it yummy?! I have to stock up on that before it's gone January 4. Just for fun, here's a cute pic of little Wonder Woman and Super Girl at our Halloween assembly on Friday. So sweet! I survived the day...with the help of 9 Advils before the day was over, but I made it! lol! Thinking back on it, they were actually incredibly well behaved and we had a super fun day, I am so proud of them!
Hope you had a great Halloween! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
Happy Friday! This "Oh What Fun!" card made with Cosmo Cricket goodies seemed appropriate for this post since I also promised pictures of our firefighters' visit! hee! hee!I took them with them my iPhone and I tried to be "subtle" and not get TOO close to the firemen (I was supposed to be watching children after all, lol!), so here's what I got! One coming down the rope:
Showing off a bit, yumm!
Then they asked for teacher volunteers to do this, and I raised my hand! BUT, I thought they were joking. They weren't! I chickened out after I saw Mr. Campbell do it and saw how the harness belts did NOT look attractive! (I could just see them strapping them around my gut and thunder thighs! lol!) So I declined and the uber cute Ms. Hannah did it:
They raised her really high!
Here we are going on the truck...yes, I did do this!
We just got off the truck and they got a call and had to leave, so that was kind of exciting:
And that's that! Hope y'all have a happy Friday! I'm worried about the Halloween celebrations at school, they are going to be TOO wound up, plus we have the Fall Carnival from 5:30 to 7:30. It's going to be a long day, wish me luck! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
Happy Thursday! Thank goodness it's almost Friday, what a week! Here's a quick share of another card I made at the scrapbooking retreat. (Are you getting the feeling I haven't made anything new since the scrapbooking retreat? You would be right! lol!) I used the fabulous Big Shot with the the Movers and Shapers die and the special Holiday Windows Die from the Holiday Mini. The Movers and Shapers die with the coordinating dies are so cool and have so much potential, I definitely need to play more! This bird is beautiful, though, I love it! The black folded "ribbon" is a paper ribbon, gotta love making your own matching ribbon!Since I mentioned the retreat again, I thought I better share this random photo below. On our way to the retreat in Lindale, we stopped for lunch in Terrell at a cafe we found on the Internet. However, it was no longer there, so we got a recommendation for another local restaurant, a Mexican food place...it happened to feature the Hunting Channel on a big-screen tv while you ate, nice, right?! Anyway, the food wasn't bad, but it was a little unsettling finding this on the bathroom floor after eating:
Things that make you go hmmmm! That's it for now! Be sure and check back tomorrow because I'm working on some photos from when the firemen visited school yesterday, yummmm! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
Here is the adorable baby Sophia!! We had the best time at a scrapbooking shower for her Sunday, and maybe we were planting the "scrapping seed" early while she was watching us! Here is her beautiful mom, Valerie, with an adorable, vintage baby book Lori gave her:
Here she is with the CUTEST framed baby page that Margaret made for her:
Beverly bought an 8x8 baby album and paper pack so we could all make her a set of pages, so clever, huh? Here are mine, before I had to go back and change the date to 02-10, oops!
Scrapbookers, hard at work:

And not so hard at work:
And last, but not least, the YUMMY cupcakes Lori made:
Okay, that's it for now! Hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
