New Stampin' Up! colors: u rock

Hey peeps! I hope all is well in your world!

You've probably heard about the major overhaul of Stampin' Up!'s color families. I'm super excited because I think we needed some updating and the new color families are fabulous. I know changes are never easy...and not cheap in this situation...but I hope eventually everyone will be okay with it.

Stampin' Up! asked the Artisan Award winners to make some samples for the demo magazine, Stampin' Success, that featured the new colors (lucky me, right?!), so this is one of the cards I made. I used new colors Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight. I'm not a big "rusty" person, so I tried to brighten it up with some other bright colors. Let me know if you have any questions!

Gotta dash...it's going to be a long day...we are having Science Night tonight. While I'm rambling about personal details, I would be forever grateful if you could add my grandpa to your prayer list. Thank you!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

I need to get the gift mailed, so I snapped this photo this morning, sorry it's not the best light. I used some retired SU goodies...Very Punny and the dots from So Nice.

Curtain Call Color Challenge Act #25: You Take the Cake!

Happy Sunday! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! It's been lovely here in Dallas!

I've been working on lots of school stuff, but took a break to tackle Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act #25 with these super BRIGHT colors! I started to reach for a LOT of white and a little color, but then decided to try and *embrace* the color! lol! It's a simple, little card, but it gave me a chance to use that yummy orange polka dot ribbon I bought recently!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Here's a quick card share...made this a month ago, I think, with some goodies that Cath at Moxie Fab sent me!

Off to school, we're learning about Washington D.C and its monuments and having our election for class president, should be super fun!

Spring Greetings!

Happy Friday! Hope your day is going well! I've been a wee bit lazy, sleeping late, followed by a short nap, heeee! I have done a little cleaning up, but need to do some more in-depth, sigh...

In the meantime, I'm taking a break to share this card I made a few weeks back for a sketch swap for my Sensational Swappers group. They gave us this sketch, which came from Splitcoast, so this is what I came up with. I used my precious little chick stamp from Red Lead Paperworks. I was so excited I finally used that striped ribbon. I bought it over 10 years ago at my favorite store Rue No. 1 in Highland Park Village, which has since gone out of business. I didn't even papercraft then, I just loved ribbon. It has a teeny bit of wire along the edges, made shaping it a dream.

Did anyone get off any good April Fool's Day pranks?! I never thought to try, but one of my students got me good. He came up to the classroom around 7:40 and told me that the window was broken out of my car! In the school's neighborhood, that is totally believable, it's happened twice to the church van overnight. I jumped up and yelled "WHAT?!" and ran to look out the window (I'm on the 3rd floor, but can see the parking lot from the windows), and half way there I realized it was probably an April Fool's Day! lol! Then he told me he did the same thing to his mom and he got her too! I was impressed with his creativity! lol!

Hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Eggcoutrements Trio!

Happy Thursday! This week has flown by, where does the time go?! I thought I'd share with you a trio I made during spring break with the Eggcoutrements stamp set. I really love it and hadn't used it much, so I challenged myself to make a trio of cards using different stamps from the set. I do love the bright, spring colors! I used lots of paper from the SAB Welcome Neighbor stack, cute stuff.

Okay, better dash! If you have questions about any of the cards, let me know! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
