Goodness Gracious

I woke up at 4:30, couldn't go back to sleep, and decided to go ahead and get up. That's just crazy on Saturday! I don't think it's going to *stick* though (=I'll be back in bed soon). lol! I'll need my beauty rest and energy because later I'm going to look at wedding dresses with my friend Robyn who is getting married in a few short months. Oh to be young and in love again...wink!

I stamped this card last night while watching the movie Sweet Home Alabama...for the 37th time. Does anyone else do this? Reese Witherspoon is so cute and lovable, and Josh Lucas & Patrick Dempsey...how could the girl go wrong?!

Back to the card...this was for a challenge by Kristina and Erica. Click on their names to view the challenge and their blogs. They are both amazing stampers. The challenge is to use at least one of the Stampin' Up! retiring In Colors with a NEW stamp set. If you don't have a new stamp set or retiring In Colors, mix something old with something new.

The good thing about this card (and yesterday's card too) is that I'm using up lots of miscellaneous scraps and parts that have been laying around on my desk for TOO long. I know some stampers say "always clean up your desk when finished" so you're ready for a nice, clean, fresh start, and I wish I could do that. I will eventually clean up my desk when I can't stand it anymore, but I find a clean desk stifles my creativity. I don't know where to start. When I have leftover scraps, bits and pieces, stamped parts not used...it's so easy to just pick one up and start making a card out of it. So there, you have permission to leave your desk messy and see if it sparks your creativity!

Recipe Stamps: All About Gratitude jumbo wheel. Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Cool Caribbean, Marigold Morning, Notations Designer Series Paper. Ink: Cool Caribbean, Chocolate Chip. Accessories: Silver Brads, Stapler, 1 1/4 Square Punch, 3/4 inch & 1/16 inch Circle Punch.

Oooo! I like the cut out arrow! A pretty way to use those scraps. :)

Cute card! I can't keep my desk clean :-) When I taught, I also had the kids clean and organize my desk for me. Unfortunately, I don't bring any home to keep my stamping space cleaned and organized now.
