Clean & Simple FTL #183: Celebrate

Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going well! I just survived two days of STAAR testing...I'm not sure who is more exhausted, the teachers or the students! I have to give a make up test to a student tomorrow, so one more day to go...

Here's a sweet birthday card I made for my sweet nephew who turned 16 last week. Impossible to believe he can be growing up so quickly, sniff sniff. I used the Clean and Simple FTL #183 sketch and it came together in a jiffy. Too bad it didn't get mailed out "in a jiffy" because it was late, oops. Bad aunt!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Ooooh...a 3D item!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a great day! My first day back from Spring Break wasn't as *hard* as I expected, lol! The kids always make it worth the while! :) However, I would NOT recommend seeing We Need to Talk About Kevin on your last day of break before returning back to school! Yikes! I went with some friends last night, and yes, the movie is good and very well made, but VERY disturbing. But, on to happier topics...

I mentioned I was having my Christmas gift exchange with my girlfriends last night (it was SO worth the wait!), so I thought I'd share one of the gifts I made my friend Lori. I started out with a purchased "L" monogram hanging from Michaels, then I jazzed it up! See the original state below:

These friends go all out on their packaging and wrapping, and I'm always a "throw the gifts in a gift bag" kind of girl, so I thought I would surprise them with some fancy wrapping! ha! Here's how it looked wrapped on the package:

Okaysies, I'd better skedaddle and get back to some school work. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Lucky

Happy Saturday and Happy St. Patrick's Day! Just realized I never had on green today, oops! I think I'm part Irish too! Surely with red hair, right?! And I love that Lord of the Dance stufff...

I thought I should make something for the holiday, but knew I would never mail a Happy St. Patrick's Day card (come on, I haven't even mailed Christmas cards for the last 3 years, ugh!) so I came up with this card using the Little Red Wagon's challenge using the word "luck" and the Clean and Simple FTL #180.

Do you see the little tag and twine peeking out from the inside? I made a little pocket so the rest of the sentiment can be pulled out on the little tag. (Wow, I've noticed when writing my last few blog posts, I use the word "little" way TOO much!). Anyway, it looks like this:

Have a super fun evening, and if you're out drinking green beer, be careful! Hugs and happy stamping!

Pals Paper Arts #131

Happy Friday! I'm back with another card! While visiting Linda's blog, I also saw this Pals Paper Arts Sketch 131, so thought I'd give it a try too! Super easy and fun sketch! Since I'd made a few Mother's Day cards, thought it was time for a Father's Day card. Masculine cards are always the hardest, right?!

I'm off to the eye doctor's office here shortly. Trying to finish up all those "Spring Break" errands, this is the last one, schwooo! I did get 5 scrapbook pages down last night too, whoo hoo! That's unheard of for me! Usually I agonize for hours over a page, and I just slapped those photos down with no plan and went with it! And you can probably tell by looking! ha! ha!

Enjoy your Friday! Hugs and happy stamping!

Freshly Made Sketches #26

Happy Thursday! I'm back already, shocker! ha! ha! I had already read 4 books by the 4th day of Spring Break, so this morning I decided it was time to clean up the stamp room and give it a go on my own!

Linda had visited and left me a comment, so when I went to check out her blog, I found this Freshly Made Sketches challenge #26. There seem to be a lot more challenge sites, so I need to get with it! Anyway, I turned the sketch on its side and whipped this little card up even though I'm a little rusty. I did use my heat embossing gun on the bird and fussy cut it, but wish I had embossed the card base for some texture.

Hope you are having a great week! This Spring Break is going by too quickly and reminding me how much I love Summer Break! hee! hee! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Play Date Cafe Challenge #122

Happy Tuesday! Very happy indeed, since I'm on Spring Break and got to spend the day crafting with friends! I only made 2 cards, but I'm calling it a great and successful day! :)

I found this Play Date Cafe Challenge #122 and had to play along before the deadline. Aren't the colors so fabby?! I used mostly goodies from October Afternoon. It's hard to see behind the tulle ribbon, but it says "mom", so I thought this would make a good Mother's Day card. Maybe I'll be ahead for once in my life!

Hope you're having a great week! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Belated Valentines...

Hiya! Hope you are having a great weekend and recovering from the terrible storms in some parts of the country!

I have a few belated Valentines I thought I would share. I made a handful to sell in a local store, and the sad thing is I could never get them to the store Monday-Saturday before 6:00 when they closed. That's just wrong! lol! Oh well, there's always next year I guess! :) The top card is using Greeting Card Kids and my retired Pure Color Pencils. The bottom card is super simple with Fabulous Phrases, the Heart to Heart punch, and some retired SU houndstooth paper.

Only 5 more school days until spring break and I AM SO READY! I have big, crafty plans, as well as catching up on sleep and spending time with some girlfriends! I will be back soon! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
