CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Cyber Monday: Christmas Carols!

Welcome back to the finale of the November release for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!

I hope you enjoyed the last 3 days of new Fri-Die releases:

They are all in stock at CAS-ual Fridays Stamps and 15% off through Cyber Monday!

Michele has one more Cyber Monday special for us, 15% off the Christmas Carols stamp set!

The design team has worked up some super cute projects using this set, so be sure and check them out on the store blog!

I had a lot of fun playing with this set, I hope you can tell! On the card above, I used the fabulous Bubble Box die again and used the smaller 4-leaf stamp to create a wreath. Down below, I got really crafty and made an ornament from a vintage tart tin I picked up at an estate sale. I have 8 of them, and I'm so proud of myself for actually using one and not hoarding them all! lol! I used the coordinating 4-Petal Set Fri-Die with some metal from Add a Little Dazzle; I love using that stuff with the Fri-Dies, such a cool effect! I think this looks cuter in person, and if I had my Christmas tree up like I'm supposed to, I could have photographed it there! Doh! :)

Hope you've enjoyed the projects the last 4 days, it's back to school tomorrow!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs & happy stamping!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Sofa Sunday Release: Truth Blooms Fri-Die!

Welcome back to another new release day for CAS-ual Fridays Stamps! Yay!

Today we have the Truth Blooms Fri-Dies that coordinate with the Truth Is stamp set!

And you guessed it...the dies are in stock now and on sale 15% off through Monday!

**Edited to add: I played along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #246!

The design team had a lot of fun with these dies and thinking outside the box! You have to check out their creativity over at the store blog! I used the large die upside down as my "inchworm" and the smaller die to make my Oreo cookies. Of course, my husband had to point out that an inchworm would not eat an Oreo cookie. He's crazy! What kind of creature would not eat an Oreo cookie?! haha!

For my card, I paired the new Truth Blooms Fri-Die with the other newly released Bubble Box Fri-Die and the Rad stamp set. And yes, I made another gift card holder, couldn't resist! To make the "flap opening" I placed the die on the patterned paper, but I placed a piece of scrap chipboard between the die and the patterned paper along the bottom (1 1/2" x 4 1/4") so that the die would not cut through the patterned paper. It leave a perfect little line for a pull-down flap. (Don't ask how I learned this...it was from a reject project yesterday!) After that, I cut the woodgrain patterned paper with the Bubble Box die too, then glued it on top of the cloud paper, so it would look like a tree. The cloud paper piece got attached to a Kraft cardstock base, just adhere a small line of adhesive along the bottom so the gift card will slip inside.

That was a lengthy explanation, sorry, but let me know if you have any questions about it!

I'll be back tomorrow at midnight EST with one last CAS-ual Fridays Stamps special for Cyber Monday! Yay! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs & happy stamping!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Small Business Saturday Release: Bubble Box Fri-Dies!

Happy Small Business Saturday!

I'm back with a special new release from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps...
Bubble Box Fri-Dies...an awesome set of 5 nesting dies!

The good news:
They are available now and 15% off through Monday!

For my card above, I used one of the dies to make a window. So easy!
I heat embossed the tree and sentiment from Snowflake Splendor in green.
I tried to *branch out* (get it?! hehe!) from my usual color schemes, uh white and kraft, with these colors. The sentiment is on vellum, haven't used that in awhile either.

For my next project below, I had to show how Michele created the largest Bubble Box die to be a gift card holder. Doesn't everyone give a lot of gift cards lately? Like year round even?

I used the die to cut out a Bubble Box in kraft cardstock and a piece of double-sided patterned paper. I heat embossed the fun sentiment from Naughty or Nice in red. Then to make it into a gift card holder, score at 1 3/4" at each end. I cut off the "flap" from my kraft piece that I had heat embossed on and glued it over the polka dot paper. I love patterned paper, but sometimes you want your sentiment to stand out, right? This way, the best of both worlds! To finish it off, I strung some wooden stars from Studio Calico onto baker's twine and "encouraged" them to stick at certain points with mini glue dots. For my "closure" element, I used some old card magnets from Basic Grey, love those things, but it can easily be held together with a belly band or ribbon too. You'll want to check out the blog for the GORGEOUS sample Michele made with striped paper and a glittery snowflake!

I hope you love the projects! Let me know if you have any questions!

Be sure and head over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog to see the amazing samples the rest of the design team created! So much diversity!

I'll be back tomorrow at midnight with another new release for Sofa Sunday!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

CAS-ual Friday Stamps Black Friday Release: Flurry Fri-Die!

It's Black Friday!

CAS-ual Friday Stamps is celebrating with a brand new release of the Flurry Fri-Die!

And it's available in the store right now at 15% off!

The die set consists of 3 different snowflake dies, approximately 2" in diameter.
They coordinate with the CAS-ual Fridays snowflake stamp sets, or they stand alone nicely.

For my card above, I die cut the snowflake and smothered it in gold paint. Yummy! Next I took a paint brush and randomly painted it onto the white cardstock, then I stamped "Merry Christmas" from the Snowflake Greetings stamp set into the paint while it was still wet.

For my second card, above, I die cut the snowflake from a metal sheet (Peacock) from Add a Little Dazzle. It looks even more glimmery in person. I die cut the same snowflake into the card base, then popped the metal snowflake into the negative space. Add a few sequins and twine, and voila! Super simple, but "fancy" card that would be fairly easy to mass produce and would not require extra postage! lol!

For my last card, above, I came across some cool patterned paper from Studio Calico and thought it would be fun with the snowflake die used in a non-holiday manner. It kind of reminds me of a pinwheel here. What do you think? Too much like a snowflake still? Or can it pass for a groovy birthday? :)

I hope you like these cards made with the new Flurry Fri-Die. Please, please go over to the CAS-ual Friday Stamps blog and see the AMAZING cards the rest of the design team created, you won't be disappointed!

And I'll be back tomorrow night at midnight for another special release for Small Business Saturday! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Monday!

I'm up today on the the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog, so I played with Amber Waves!

I embossed the wheat sheaf in gold on a linen piece of fabric cut with the rectangular die from Shuffle Fri-Dies. I love that die with the softly rounded edges, it makes such a nice rectangle! I really want to make some flash cards with it for school! :)

Is everyone getting ready for Thanksgiving? I'm looking forward to the week off and lots of stamping, that's for sure! I saw lots of trees going up on Facebook already, so it's coming!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs & happy stamping!
