Cuttlebug Challenge Be Inspired #47

Happy Wednesday! It's time for the weekly Cuttlebug Be Inspired #47 Challenge! This week's challenge: make an invitation! So I made a 1st birthday party for my darling, imaginary daughter named Mia! *wink* It started out as a traditional birthday party hat, but then I saw that Sassafrass paper and had to use that bunny with the name Mia (I think because I was supposed to have a 2nd grader in my class named Mia, but she withdrew and didn't come to our school after all, so I'll never know her!). I used a large silver brad for the hinge at the top, just covered it up with a corduroy button. For the inside of the invitation, I just made a textbox the approximate size of my hat in Word, then printed it out on regular copy paper. Then I used Mono temporary adhesive on the back of the hat, stuck it right over the printed words (hold it up to the light to see through and get perfect placement), and lastly, ran it through my printer again. Voila! The temporary adhesive just rubs right off the back when you're done. Lots of goodies on here: Cuttlebug, Diamond & Herringbone embossing folders, Stampin' Up! Kraft cardstock (gotta love that perfect basic!), Kiwi Kiss button, Hemp twine, & retired Tiny Talk stamp; Sassafrass Lass paper, chipboard & number 1, Making Memories green lace ribbon, and Maya Road pom poms. Be sure and check out what the other designers have created for you on the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog, you won't be disappointed! I hope you'll join in this week's invitation challenge! We're celebrating our 1 year anniversary and we have lots of sponsors for a grand prize at the end of September! Go check it out!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #46

Happy Wednesday! It's time for the Cuttlebug Be Inspired #46 Challenge! We are thrilled to be working with this week's sponsor...the fabulous Cosmo Cricket!! This week's challenge is to create projects with a "Back-to-School" theme! Good timing, huh?!

I received the awesome new Jolly by Golly line of paper and ribbon to work with, lucky me!! Yes, it was already on my wish list after seeing the sneak peeks of it at CHA! I love everything Christmas and this is such a fun collection! So...how to make it work for a "back-to-school" theme?! I decided to make a teacher gift that would be ready for her on the school's first snow day! I decorated a cannister of Sprinkles cupcake mix and added a matching card. Since I'm a teacher, I happen to have first-hand knowledge this would be an awesome teacher gift! hee! hee!

Of course, I had to jazz it up with some Cuttlebug goodness, so I used the Snowflakes embossing folder on the "Snow Day" piece on the card, as well as the Swiss Dots folder. Aren't those striped and snowflake ribbons absolutely yummy too?

For the Sprinkles cannister, I jazzed up the gift tag and cord with some snowflakes from the Winter Jelly embossing set.

Be sure and run over to the Cuttlebug Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the wonderful design team came up with! You will be amazed at all the great ideas for "back-to-school" projects they made! Of course, it's easy to be super inspired with the Cuttlebug and Cosmo Cricket! You will definitely want to play along with the challenge this week for a chance to win some yummy Cosmo Cricket of your own!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #45

Happy Wednesday! It's time for the weekly Cuttlebug Be Inspired #45 Challenge! This week's challenge is all about shapes...shaped cards, shaped layouts, shaped projects,...how fun! The design team was fortunate enough to receive templates from this week's sponsor, Paper Popsicles! You can check out all the fabulous shape templates here.

I chose the mushroom template and have many fun ideas for future cards. These templates are perfect if you're not "naturally artistic"...like me...and quite a bargain at 99 cents! I printed the template out on regular copy paper, then glued it down to thin chipboard (even a cereal box would work, etc.) and cut it out. This way my "mushroom template" will be easy to use over and over again! Lastly, I just used my template to trace the shape onto cardstock and cut out. Easy peasy!

A few other details...I used the Herringbone folder for the mushroom stem and the Bloom Dots folder for the mushroom top. I also used the new Basic Gray June Bug paper and chipboard bird, and I made the "hi" with the Junebug paper attached to thin chipboard and then die cut with my Cuttlebug and Red Tag Sale Alphabet die.

Be sure and check out what the rest of the Design Team came up with at the Cuttlebug Challenge blog and upload your projects with Mr. Linky so we can check them out too!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge #44

Happy Wednesday! It's time for the Cuttlebug Be Inspired #44 Challenge! Your challenge this week is to make a "scene card". I was a little intimidated by this challenge at first...ya know I'm a pretty *simple* stamper, but once I got into it, I really enjoyed it!

My finished card size is a 5 1/4" square and I used lots of fabby Cuttlebug folders on it! Can you spot them all? The little lady is my standby Swiss Dots folder, the little man is the Herringbone folder, the clouds are the Morrocan folder, and the heart is the Victoria folder. By the way, I loved the way those Maya Road chipboard people ran right through the Cuttlebug, easy peasy, great results!

Be sure and head over to the Cuttlebug Challenge blog to see the fabulous projects the rest of the design team came up with. You'll see lots of beautiful work featuring this week's sponsors: Sakura of America and Core'dinations and Scor It.

Are you ready for the challenge?! Make your "scene card" and upload it with the Mr. Linky on the Cuttlebug Challange blog for a chance to win this week's prize from Sakura!! Can't wait to see your wowness!!

I used my Sizzix cupcake die, then ran the top piece through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embosisng folder.
