Happy Tuesday! Hope your week is off to a great start! We've been doing some mid-year testing of all the students in grades 2 - 8 in reading and math. They have a lot of practice TAKs (standardized state tests) tests to take this week, so I'll be glad when that's all over and we can start back up with the teaching. I guess we need to see how stressed we need to be! lol!I stayed up way too late making this card for Laura's Sketch #17 over at 2 Sketches 4 You. It was one of those great times when you see the sketch and you immediately have an idea and have to start working on it...love those times! The little flap on top opens to hold a Starbucks gift card:
Then I made the inside with lots of room for co-workers to sign the card, since it's from "owl of all us":
Can you tell I'm loving my Janome Sew Mini?! I did the zig-zag stitch on this card. I cannot get over how perfectly and easily that things sews on cardstock! Totally awesome!
