Weekend Retreat...a look back...

Happy Tuesday!

I was so pooped when I got home from the retreat Sunday night that I couldn't even do anything except eat dinner, watch the Amazing Race, and go to bed! So last night I took time to prepare some photos to share with you. We had such a good time, we're already making plans for our next one!

The picture above shows the goody bags that I made for my girlfriends (I have a few extra shown in the pic for some other special gals!). Since I've been on the a paper rosette, aka yo yo kick, lately, I decided to make some for a paper bag and attach them to a wooden clothes pin as the bag closure. I've done the clothes pin closure before here, I just love the look of it! I used the fall paper from the Holiday Mini catalog, some contraband chipboard, Sage Shadow Craft Ink heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, and retired copper brads. I've had a few requests to explain/show how to make these since I showed the smaller one here, so I'll try to get that posted later this week.

Okay, on to more good stuff! This picture shows the great goody bags I got in return!

They were filled with goodies ranging from stamps, ribbon, bling, chipboard, candy, Starbucks gift card, and this fabulous necklace pictured below that Valerie had her friend custom make for us! We dubbed ourselves the Scooter Scrappers since that's the bar where we had our happy hour retreat planning session.

Now for the down and dirty...it took this much stuff...

...to make these 6 pages...

And that picture of stuff doesn't show the two large bags of food and drinks! Yikes! And I seriously thought I was packing light! lol!

Okay, thanks for letting me reminisce with you! I'm off to a teaching workshop today and looking forward to it. I still need the rest to recover from last weekend! lol! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

P.S. I almost forgot to mention but several of you have already emailed me or commented on the old post, one of my Halloween projects that I submitted for Shelli Gardner's (co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up!) So Shelli.com Creative Challenge was chosen by her as a winner! I was so thrilled and the best part, I get a free stamp set of my choice! Whoo! Hoo! Make sure you submit some entries to her next challenge which is Season of Thanks, you could be a lucky winner too!

I am giggling at all the stuff you took...not at you just cuz that's about how much I would take too and I would be lucky to come back with 6 pages! :)
