Happy Sunday! How is your weekend going so far? It's been a beauty here in Dallas. I've been squeezing some stamping in here and there between other projects and chores. I'm trying to do all of the World Card Making Day Challenges over at Splitcoast, so here are two more. I started this Merry and Bright card the other night using the Sketch Challenge #196, but I didn't finish. Then yesterday when I read the WCMDWT08 Challenge -TREE-mendous I knew just how to finish the card! I couldn't help but use those precious Cuttlebug trees again!
Next, this is a super simple dimple card, but I like how it turned out. It's for the WCMDLSC08: No P's Please...no using patterned paper (WHAT?!) or pastels. I was trying to break out of my "predictable...safe...always fall back on the same colors", so I thumbed through my Boden catalog and found this Loro Marl T-Shirt to inpsire me. I can't tell you when I used Yo Yo Yellow last, but I'm thinking it's been years. (Okay, I'm anal and I had a flash of doing a Splitcoast Color Challenge with my friends while cropping, so I went back and found it here...February 3!) I tried sewing my paper ruffle with my cheap $3 paper sewing machine, not good. So I pulled the thread out and left the holes. I'm trying to hang on until Christmas to get that Mini Janome, but I don't know if I can make it!
Hope you're having a great weekend! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Your SC is awesome! I always have a difficult time mixing too many patterns, but you pulled it off so well! I know what you mean about pulling the thread out. Warning...I do that with my Janome (yikes) it's on the brinks :(

Those CB trees are TOO cute! And, I must say, I LOVE that second card--great colors and layout.
you clever girl, on how you imitated that green skirt! I love the airy colors of the snowman card!
cute cards - I love the 2nd & where you got your inspiration! I hardly use that color either (along with about 1/2 the BB/SS colors)
On the Merry & Bright card, I thought "how clever she is" using drywall tape cut in tree shapes! They I read your recipe - oh well, you still are clever! TFS
