Happy Tuesday! Just three more work days until my weekend crop, I'm getting so excited! I'm trying to get ready (but not enough!), so thought I would share this "Shhh...baby sleeping" door hanger that I entered for a Stampin' Up! Wow! demonstrator contest for September. (Remember I showed this scrapbook page awhile back that I entered also?) It didn't win, you just never know what SU is looking for, but now that I think about it, this actually is kind of *busy* for SU! I think they want projects that are striking and stunning A ND easy to reproduce for demonstrators to use for their customers. Ummm, you wouldn't want to try this at a workshop with new stampers! lol!
I used the Big Shot and the Top Note Bigz die with thin chipboard with Bella Rose designer series paper adhered to it. The large scallop flower I made with the Coluzzle and Slit Punch the "old-fashioned" way! lol! I need to get those scallop circle dies! The baby carriage is from Fun and Fast Notes...that's one of those sets I tend to forget about and should get out more often. For the "baby sleeping" part, I used a bunch of different sentiments from different sets and cut the letters out that I needed. I want to get that new Calendar Alphabet and Numbers set, but this worked in the meantime. While *trying* to clean out some old magazines a few months ago, I saw several cards and scrapbook pages that used this technique with the letters, and I've also seen the fabulous Debbie Olsen do something like it, like here.
Here's another picture showing the whole thing:
Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Love the door hanger. Very cute. I like the colors and that cute pram stamp.
While this door hangar may not have won anything, I'm pretty sure that it was on display at the regional that was held in KC. I will have to go back and look at my pictures, but I know that I've seen this before!!! Just thought I would let you know. And if I find a pic of it from a display board, I will send it to you!
