CAS-ual Fridays Stamps Blog: Boo-Yah!

Happy Monday and Happy Labor Day! Today I'm up on the the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog and I have some fun projects to share using the Exclamations stamp set!

If you're like me, I never have enough "guy" cards, so I started out using the Oval Tags Fri-Dies in Kraft card stock and covered it with different Washi tapes. I love the large hole in the tag that allows for nice, thick ribbon to pass through it. (Yes, I know I just said a guy card, but I couldn't resist some chevron ribbon!) If your man watches Jim Kramer like mine, you know all about his "Booya" so this sentiment was perfect!

My second project also uses the Exclamations stamp set and Oval Tags Fri-Dies. The oval tag makes the ghost...I just cut off the bottom with pinking shears. I embossed the two larger asterisks on the box (look closely!) and used part of the Boo-Yah sentiment for the tag. Inside the box is a little Butterfinger, yum!

The box is super easy and you can make 4 boxes from one sheet of card stock.

To make the box, start with a 4 3/4" x 4 1/4" piece of card stock. The pictures below aren't great, but they will show you how to create the box. :)

Thanks to my friend Lori for showing me how to make this cute little box! I'm going to make them for all my students this year. I should have plenty of time if I get started now, right?!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my CAS-ual Fridays Stamps projects! Hugs and happy stamping!

Ribbon like you used which is not too girlie in colour or style is ok as long as it isn't tied in a bow. Or so says my manly man hubby and 12 yo son who I frequently check with for all my guy cards to make sure they aren't frou frou. They are ok with it tied in a knot or just added flat to a card so I go with that. Apparently buckles and hardware are ok too. I think black chevrons in particular are a good, graphic, masculine choice!! When people tie it in a bow, I think it stops being masculine and they especially say NO WAY. Love the box.

Love how you made a background out of the boo-yah stamp! Perfect for a guy. Thanks for showing us the details on your box too!
