An Egg-cellent Easter

Happy Wednesday! Hope you're having a great week! I've been really lazy about starting any challenges, but as I glanced over at the April 2009 Creating Keepsakes on my desk, I decided to copy its fresh, spring colors onto a card! I ended up liking the So Saffron the best, so it kind of over-powered the other colors, oh well!

So here's how I've been enjoying my spring break:

I started the Flat Belly Diet on Monday. My friends at work have been having success, so I borrowed their book and went grocery shopping on Sunday. There's a special eating regimen for the first 4-days...which involves no caffeine...which is why I waited to start it when I was safely away from the children!

My friends know I'm a VERY picky eater, so this has been quite an adventure for me! I'm sure they can't believe there's a package of MUSHROOMS in my cart! And yes, I sauteed them and ate them over brown rice. I even ate some (some meaning 8!) cherry tomatoes, but there's no way I could eat the whole pint like it said, so hubby was happy to get those. That's not all...I've steamed carrots, roasted red potatoes, and baked talipia (fish, I know!) too! I've obviously been googling lots of cooking instructions this week! lol! I have to admit, most of it has tasted pretty good. But my theory is, you're so da*n thankful when you get to eat on this diet, you don't care what it is, it tastes great!

Anyway, once the initial 4 days are over, you go on a more regular eating routine, a healthy one, with four meals a day. Part of the deal is eating a mufa, a monounsaturated fatty acid, with every meal. Has anyone else tried this? I have to admit, the healthy food really does taste pretty good and I feel pretty good. I've been walking with Nick every day too, it's funny because he is SO exhausted the rest of the day! Wish me luck, and share your stories if you have some! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Your card is adorable... Love the sparkle! :)

LOL, I'm not super picky, but there are things I just.won't.eat and the list is probably longer than it should be. :) Do you shop at Harris Teeter? Those mushrooms look ~just~ like the packaging we have here... Best of luck with your FBD!

What a cute card Angie!! I got this set too, and need to ink it up! I would have a hard time with this diet - I do Weight Watchers and have had great success with that since I don't have to deprive myself - no caffeine....ack!! You would so NOT want me around, lol!! Tell us how it goes! *STAMPIN HUGS* Alex

Those first 4 days almost killed me! I am a super picky eater too! Some of the stuff I just couldn't eat! Good luck....it is a great diet (after the first 4 days and that nasty water!)

Your card is adorable. I love the glittery tag.

Yum, cherry tomatoes! My kids can come and eat a few pints for you. I'll have to check out the diet. I've been exercising a lot but my eating goes between super healthy and not so great. I do love to exercise though - or I love being done. I can't tell which is better.

Good luck with your diet...keep us posted on how it goes. I for sure need to try something. :) I do alright for about a week and then of course, I'm not going to see any changes that quick, but I still get frusterated and quit doing good. :)
