Flight of the Butterfly Trio & RAK

So, last Tuesday night, the night before my new catalog order arrived, I had not been feeling creative all day and had made nothing! ugh! So I gave myself another catalog challenge: to make 3 cards using the same set and the colors from the Sweet Always DSP: Regal Rose, Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, and Chocolate Chip.

I gave myself this challenge at 12:30 a.m., and you can see how the cards got even more simple and boring as I was getting tired by the time I finished the last one at 2:30 a.m. But I would not let myself go to bed without completing the challenge, lol!

Here is the first card I made, my favorite. It's simple, but I like the ribbon charm.

This is the second card I made, pretty darned simple.

And the last one, I'm not sure what I was thinking by this point, lol! What's with the 3 little holes on the side? I think I saw that somewhere in the catalog and liked it, then I had an idea and it didn't work (can't remember what it was now!), so I just left them there. Hello, maybe I should have splurged and cut a new Pink Pirouette card! lol!

Now for a much cuter Flight of the Butterfly card, here is a wonderful belated BRAK I received from Becky Carafa. I love Becky's style, check her out at the lakeshore stamper.

Now I feel like I should start singing: Hi-ho, hi-ho, it's off to work I go...! Wish me luck...and lots of caffeine...on my first day back to school!

Thanks for stopping by? Have you stamped something today?

OK, just when I thought I could live without that stampset, it goes BACK on the list ~ These are great Angie. Getting your first day past is a big hurdle to pass.
Well, maybe not as big as the first day kids return. . . .

Very cute cards. I want you to know that you've inspired me and I made a 60th anniversary card for an elderly couple in our church. I should have photographed it but I forgot. It wasn't as cute as yours though!

So did you survive school? It just seems too early to be back at school already.

How darling! I really like all three. And...sometimes simple is just as gorgeous as something more elaborate. Good job!

I say simple is stunning! Love the color combo on the cards--Always was one of the first DSPs I ordered and I'm expecting it tomorrow :-) And as for the three holes...you can always pop some brads in there or something, right? :-)

I love all 3, even the triple pierced card. Good luck with school starting. Colin has kindergarten orientation tomorrow and I've had a fever all day. I can't wait to go to bed and I'll hopefully wake up better tomorrow.

I have to get this set and I'm going to blame you for this one and the chandelier. LOL!

great cards, Angie. The last one (before Becky's-love hers too. you lucky birthday girl) is my favoirte. Too bad we don't have choc. chip brads, you could add those to the holes you punched. I do love it just as is. I also have been taking your un-official challenge and hav been making cards with the color combos from the dsp packs while I wait for my goodies to arrive. there are so many great ones to choose from.
