Chocolate Bunny Artisan Swap

Happy Monday! I just realized I never got around to posting my Scrapbook Sunday yesterday, oops! I think I say it every week, but I don't know how the weekend goes by so quickly. I'm counting down, 5 days until Spring Break!

I didn't get much stamping done this weekend, but I do have this little Chocolate Bunny, or I guess I should say a White Chocolate Bunny, card that I made for an Artisan Swap with the other Stampin' Up! Artistan Award winners. I haven't got the swaps back yet, I can hardly wait. These girls make some fabulous cards! I can't tell you how many versions of this card I worked through before I found this one acceptable. It's a high pressure group for me! ha!

A few details...for the background shape, I ran the Sweet Pea patterned paper through the Big Shot with the Oval Scallop die. I used the inside piece to stamp the bunny in Versamark then emboss with White Embossing Powder, then I cut him out with scissors. Next, I cut small pieces of the green polka dot paper and the yellow floral paper and laid them on top of the Oval Scallop die, placing the edges together, making sure I had enough to cover the whole oval shape, then ran it through the Big Shot too. They came out two separate pieces, then I glued them down inside the blue Oval Scallop frame. Hope that makes sense, let me know if you have any questions!

Okay, better get a move on, busy day today. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

This is so fresh and cute {and well crafted} I love the white chocolae bunny, that is very different from what you normally see. The scrappiness of this {with the sewing and the patterns} is very fun and spring-like.

This is yet another reason why I would LOVE to be able to enter the Artisan Award - the chance to swap with the other winners! How gorgeous is that card!!! Love all the sewing you've done on it and the white-embossed bunny! And how you sewed the middle of the butterfly. Such awesome details!

Will we be seeing pictures of the other swap cards somewhere?

Thanks for sharing!
Cindy :)

I love how you used two different pieces of dp for the oval and then stitched them. The ruffled ribbon running across the middle is the crowning touch!
