Just Beclause: Oval Santa in River Rock

Hi peeps! I tried to get home from school in time to take a photo outside, and as you can see, I was pushing it! And it rains practically everyday in Dallas now, which isn't helping! lol! Plus, I took one of my desk lamps to school earlier this year, so it's very difficult to get enough light for a good inside shot too. Maybe I'll have top break down and get a lightbox one of these days! Okay, enough whining, lol!

Here's one of my scrapping retreat cards made with the Just Beclause set. The Santa was on a rejected card, so I punched out part of him with the large oval punch. Don't you love the River Rock? It really grows on me more and more! I also love coloring in accents on dark cardstock with White Craft ink and a blender pen. I just dip it right in the craft ink, so easy and effective! That's my kind of watercoloring! lol!

Hope your week is going well! I laid down for a quick nap again last night at 6:30 and woke up at 9:30! Yikes! Now I need to get some papers graded and work on next week's lesson plans, but I am feeling soooo sleepy! ha! Wish me luck!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Yep, I love the look of the Santa stamped and colored on colored paper too! The ribbon and button goes great with this.

You're making me long for a girls scrap weekend. I'm long overdue!

I REALLY dig the vintage feel of this one! Love the Santa cameo and the stitching around it. The white watercoloring looks great on the darker cardstock!

On a side note, I always stamp at night and could only take pictures by sunlight on the weekends (weather permitting) so when my mom asked me last year if I wanted some equipment for my new camera for Christmas (thinking I'd ask for new lenses), I asked for a light box! I love that I don't have to rush to finish my cards before the sun sets anymore!

Okay, so I tried the sewing thing on my card and it didn't come out nearly as cute as yours always do! You'll have to share your secret.
