Organic Outlines do the Tango

Happy Tuesday! We've had some overcast weather and rain in Dallas the last few days, which we desperately need, but it's really doing a number on my sinuses, so I haven't been very creative today. Plus, I knew I better get the housework done so I'll be free to play with my new catalog order that is arriving tomorrow! Yay! Yes, I splurged on overnight shipping since I only have a few precious days left before returning to work and never having time to stamp again. lol!

I made this birthday card and mailed it out a few days ago, so thought I would go ahead and share it. I used the Organic Outlines set that I won free at Convention and the new Tangerine Tango In Color. This color and especially Pacific Point are the toughest for me to use and the ones that I have the most left of! I actually had to reorder more of the other colors, love them so much!

Oh, a funny...when I went to mail this, I checked to see if it would cost extra because the envelope was kind of thick. The worker (a really nice lady) tries to slide it through her "slot test guide" thing and it wouldn't fit, of course.

Postal worker: "What's this lump here?"

Me: "Mmmm, a rhinestone brad."

Postal worker: Stares blankly. "Mmmm, it doesn't fit. That's going to cost 40¢ extra for handling."

I just laughed. A small price to pay for a hand-crafted card with a precious rhinestone brad and several layers of dimensionals!

Thanks for stopping by! Have you stamped something today?

Recipe
Stamps: Organic Outlines, Occasions Collection hostess.
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Bella Rosa DSP.
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Staz-On Brown.
Accessories: Rhinestone brad from Pretties Kit, 1" Circle Punch, Hidden Garden rub-on (extra from Convention), White Taffeta ribbon (dyed Tangerine Tango), Paper Piercer & Guide, Dimensionals.

I, too, am thankful for the rain we've been getting, but I sure hope you feel better soon!

You just stamp away these last few days of summer! I know just how you feel. I was looking at my blog archives and noticed that July got way more air time than the months I was in school. I still have a couple of weeks...I think we got out later than you (late June). This card is so cute. I've seen a few cards with that set that people won at convention. Like it a lot.

Love this card. So fabulous! I've been wondering what to do with this set as well because I ALSO WON IT AT CONVENTION! Yeah us! The last prize they gave away! :) I love this set, but haven't used it yet either. So thanks for the inspiration! :)

I think this is so retro - the colors and the stamps together are great. Yep, I don't even bother getting my cards checked anymore. If there's a bump, be it a rhinestone brad or a lumpy bow, I just give it the 62cents postage. I don't know why they're charging you an extra 40 cents???
