Dilemma: Many Mustaches
Happy Monday!
Here's my dilemma...I received this fabulous new stamp set, Many Mustaches, last week and I want to use it today (NO, really, I do!), but I didn't realize it was all one stamp.
So, should I leave it as one stamp and mount it on the wood block?
Or separate it into 4 different mustache stamps?
I don't have 4 wood blocks...and no, I'm not going to go jigsaw that wood block into 4 pieces and lose a finger, trust me, I would lose a finger...but I could mount the red rubber onto EZ mount and use it on my clear blocks.
Keep in mind, I have a contraband mustache stamp set that has separate mustaches already that's really cute, but they are clear stamps, and my heart prefers red rubber stamps.
Hmmm, quite the dilemma, hence I come to you. (I read an interview with Hitchcock yesterday and he used the word hence. People don't use that word much anymore, hence DH and I have decided to start it up again. I read the definition at dictionary.com and I don't think I'm using it quite correctly, but please let me have my fun anyway!)
Please let me know your opinions, as soon as you can. I'll be back with more dilemmas, I've decided. No need to make so many decisions on my own. Some will involve decorating over the next few weeks, so start thinking about that, please.

I say cut it apart. I see some hairdos in them too.
I see myself using this stamp as more of a background image... Especially with that cute new circus set! If I did use them individually, I'd probably end up cutting out the image after I stamped it anyways so for me, one big stamp would work best! Can't wait to see what you make with it!
I just ordered that stamp a few days ago and ordered some of the Cling Mount to cut it up into 4 separate stamps. I am SO happy that SU! had it in their catalog. Now to check with my mom and see if the order shipped yet.
Depends on which is more important to you: using them any way your heart desires or maintaining the integrity of the original design. I say split them up so you'll be more likely to use them. Besides, you can always reassemble the stack on a clear block.
I didn't realize it was one stamp either. I'd be pretty tempted to cut it apart and cling mount it. But I'm also fairly anal about leaving my stamps in original condition. It's a dilemma!
I say cut it. If you keep it together, you'll have to mask and use your SAMJ to line it up...UGH! I would rather cut it apart so I can use it, kwim? Can't figure out how to use hence in this comment. Hence, there's no hence. But I love that word.
If you don't cut it apart, you could always just use markers to color it....
Those are cute! You could always stamp on a separate piece of paper & then cut it out...
OMG Angie! LOL! That was THE frist set I cracked open and immedietly CUT IT APART! I did hesitate, but only briefly. You can always put them all on a large clear block if you want to use it all as one. I stuck mine right onto my clear block. My EZ Mount stuff is on order.... So, now it's stuck. Ha! But, I'll get it off. Didn't you and I have this same conversation last year with the mushrooms? Do it girl! You won't be sorry!
Hi Angie, long time no talk! I would cut them apart and mount one on each big flat side of the wood block and one on each edge if they'll fit.
split those puppies apart sista...could you creatively mount them on the one block separately?
I would cut them apart, but with straight lines between the 'staches. That way they can be easily lined up and used in the original form should you desire. I often cut my stamps, but do so in such a manner that I can use 'as intended' or not. I like options. lol
Cut apart and stick on a clear block, you still have your red rubber!
I always cut apart stamps if at all possible because it gives you more flexibility!
