365 Cards: Day 348-Keep It Simple

I saw this great card on Amy's blog for the 365 Cards challenge for Day 348-Keep It Simple and decided I had to play! I do like simple cards! The rules:

Start out with blank cardstock, stamp an image in one color and DO NOT color it in. Add one embellishment that coincides with the image. You may add any sentiment you wish.

Fun, huh?! I made the card above with the new Sale-a-bration set Vintage Labels because I noticed that the circle would fit perfectly around those new Prima Pebbles that were in my Scarlet Lime kit (I had left them laying out on my desk, for inspiration, you know!). Then I was thinking, man, I need a stamp that says "Thanks Dear" when I started to remember that maybe I did! Yup, I did, one I bought long ago from Pink Persimmon. Score! I was worried maybe I cheated a little bit since that Pebble had color in it, so I made one more just in case...





Remember this retired set from Stampin' Up!, Laundry Notes?! Love this set, so glad I kept it! And now I have a Valentine's day for dh, even if it is a lovely pink shade! I thought I would give him a gentle reminder earlier this week, so I say: "You know this Sunday is Valentine's Day and..." before I can finish, I get this response: "Oh, crap!" Nice, huh?! I informed him that really wasn't an appropriate response...lol!
