CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: September Sneak Peek #2

Happy Monday!

Welcome to day #2 of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps September Release Sneak Peeks!

Today's set is called Snowflake Splendor and it's fabulous!

For my card, I used one of the "snowflake trees" and glittered it up!

I stamped the image in Versamark ink first, applied Heat & Stick Powder, heat embossed it to make it sticky, then sprinkled the glitter on and heat embossed it. I added a silver embossed star to the top, because every tree needs its star at the top! I wasn't sure what to do with my green rectangular panel at first, then decided to go with the angle placement. I love that Merry & Bright sentiment and the way it pops in green against the white.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: September Sneak Peek #1

Happy Sunday! I'm so excited to share a sneak peek of the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps September release #1! Introducing: Wheat Wreath!

You will love this new set with beautiful sentiments to express gratitude as well as the fabulous wreath. For my first card, I went with the bold embossing on that pretty background paper. For the second card, I went with a softer, watercolor look. I smushed the orangey ink pads on a plastic sheet protector, sprayed the ink with a water mister, dipped the stamp in it, then stamped on the watercolor paper. After that dried, I repeated the process with the olive ink. Kristina Werner shared a video of the technique, love how easy and pretty it turns out.

Gold and Roses Thank You

Happy midnightish! I should be in bed since I finished my first day of In Service for the new year school today (Wednesday),  but instead I decide to stay up and make a card. Flipping back from my nighttime vampire schedule to a daytime schedule is SO hard! Lol! I wasn't the only teacher starting to drag after lunch! 

I played along with the combined challenge at CAS(E) this sketch! and Tag You're It! A co-worker asked me for some more thank you cards and she likes a lot of color, so I had to break out of my white or kraft card base routine!  ;) The nighttime photo isn't the best, sorry!

Hope you're all doing well...there seemed to be a lot of crazy events going on with that big 'ol super moon this week!

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: With Sympathy

Happy Tuesday!

I'm up today on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog, yay!

I pulled out the beautiful Casual Comfort stamp set and Casual Trees Fri-Dies to make a sympathy card. I find these the toughest cards to make, do you? It's tricky to find that right mix that shows caring and comfort, but not too bright/flashy and not too dark/depressing. And it's especially hard to make one when you actually need it, because then you're in no state to create. Okay, I'm rambling. I hope you enjoy the card, this is a lovely stamp set and die to work with on an occasion such as this.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps: Red, White & Blue!

So many reasons to celebrate!

(I am still alive, in case you were wondering!) 

Summer school is over so I'm officially on vacation AND I'm up today on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog! A little red, white, and blue seemed in order for this week, right?!

My first card above uses the Shenanigans stamp set and the Treble Clef Fri-Dies. I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder and added "let freedom ring" in my own handwriting, which I'm trying to embrace, even if I'm not Ali Edwards or Heidi Swapp! :)

For the card below, I used the super fun Ka-Boom stamp set. I embossed the sentiment in red on the wooden tag, and I attached a Lifesaver over the little bomb stamp on the tag. I'm not sure why, lol! I had them leftover from summer school, and it was red, hmmm, surely there was another reason...? I love the way the fringe trim turned out! I used the fringe scissors on red tissue paper, so easy!

I'm super excited to share my day on the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps blog today!

I got out one of my new favorite sets, In the Cards. I love the versatility of this set! :)

One of my co-workers needed a graduation card in red and black, so I whipped up the card above. I am just nuts about that rectangular card die from the Shuffle Fri-Dies!

For my next card, below, I played along with CAS(E) this Sketch #78. Isn't that a fun sketch? I used the Shuffle Fri-Dies again to make the wavy, movement lines and part of the sentiment from In the Cards, along with "birthday" from Shenanigans. I always end up reaching for Shenanigans, must be in my blood! ha!
