Dare to Get Dirty: TV Dinner & Sketch challenges

Happy Monday! Thank you so much for all of the 2S4Y congratulations and for the birthday wishes yesterday! I really appreciate it! DH and I had a fabby day and really liked Inception!

I stayed up *way* late Saturday night, mostly fiddling around, and working on this card while I watched terrible, scary movies. (Ugh! I don't know why I do that!) Anywhooo, I used two more of the Splitcoast Dare to Get Dirty challenges (you have to be a Fan Club member to have access, but if you can swing it, they have great galleries every month and it's a great way to help support Splitcoast):

Challenge 1: Bev Rousch's TV Dinner-a card or project inspired by a tv show
Challenge 2: Kim Teasdale's sketch challenge

Can you tell what tv show is my inspiration?

If you watch it, hopefully you thought of The Amazing Race! DH and I started watching it the last few years (we are never early adopters, but always behind on the trends!) and love it. He's wanted us to start training several times over the years so we could try out for the show...yeah, right, like I could ever eat any of that stuff and he could conquer his fear of heights, no matter how great of shape we might be in!

My plan for today was to work on some Paper Crafts submissions, but that hasn't quite started yet, doh! Have you submitted?! There's still time, go here for the details!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Recipe
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, October Afternoon Thrift Shop patterned paper.
Accessories: Girls Paperie die cuts, SU vintage brad & tag, Cosmo Cricket & Jenni Bowlin sticker letters, Papertrey large scallop die, Big Shot, old wood, Janome Sew Mini.

Love this!! I have some of that patterned paper that I just love and am using it in small pieces to make it stretch further! LOL! Awesome card!
I did get a few cards done to submit. Guess I know what I'll be doing tonight. Then biting my nails until the acceptance emails go out. You know how it goes, right?

I don't watch a lot of TV, so this card's inspiration was lost on me. But I still love the way it looks and think you really kicked but on it.

Happy birthday, Angie!!! Hope you had a great one!

I got sucked into watching the Amazing Race a season or two ago as well. I'm never ahead of trends, either, so I know what you mean... The card turned out so cute! Love all of the traveling elements you've used on it.

I had prepared a few projects to submit to Paper Crafts, but none had been photographed so I spent all evening working on that. I would I could just stamp and have somebody else handle the photo editing part for me... *sigh* I have a brand new pile of rubber that is screaming to get inked (new SU! order and a bit of crazy shopping in Toronto this weekend), so I hope I can stamp tonight!
