A small thing...

Happy Wednesday! Is it really only Wednesday?! Ugh! Here's a quick card I made last night...I actually had the idea on Monday night as I was falling asleep (because I knew I still had one more black polka dot scrap piece!)...I should have got up and made it then, because I couldn't quite remember all the details I had planned and it didn't turn out quite like I imagined, but oh well! lol! Sorry the photo isn't too good either, looks kind of dark.

Anyway, very simple, whisper white base with a Lavendar Lace Curly Label punch piece. I couldn't decide what to add on top of the curly label, so I pulled out my Big Shot dies and added the little bird. I have a little secret...my new catalog order arrives today!...and it includes several new items to use with the Big Shot! Yippee! Skippee!

Okay, before I go, one quick school story for those of you who like them. I was working with a group and one boy, who is very smart, but has a lot of troule controling himself and gets in trouble a lot, and he started acting "ornery"...

Me: "Please act like the sweetie that I know that you are."
Student: "You wish!"

See, like I said, he's really very smart...and hilarious! One time on "hat day" during spirit week he wore this little black bowler hat, simply adorable, and proceeded to do a dance for me with the hat.

Me: "That was a great dance! Where did you learn that, do you take classes?"
Student: "No! I made it up just now!"

I have one more from him, but I'll save it for tomorrow, mainly because I still have to iron my clothes and dh is going to be ready and waiting on me! lol! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

What a darling card! I love the little duck as an accent on the curly label punch. Here's a school story for you...One of my kiddos, nice boy, very likeable, but very distracted, off task, slightly disruptive, academically challenged, blah, blah, blah...Well, his behavior has escalated lately and I emailed his mom about it after talking with the student. The next day, I got an email from mom that said she hopes he has the courage to talk to me. Well, he didn't, so at the end of the day I asked him if he had something he wanted to talk about with me. He said, "Well, I don't want to be, you know...a bad boy. What can I do?" Talk about melting my heart. So we talked. The he says, "I want to do well. This might surprise you, or maybe it won't. Someday, I think I might want to be a teacher. I think I'd like to teach first grade." I'm a puddle at this point. He's so stinkin' sweet while he's telling me this. Moments like that make it all worth it! Well, that was a long story...sorry.

I think this card is great (and the photo of it)! A perfect CAS example! The little bird on the curly label is so sweet!

PS- love your stories about school! My DS is in third grade and sounds similar to the one you're speaking of here... ornery, smart and has trouble controlling himself... but that last part is only at home. Go figure! I often wonder how he manages to get through the day at school with no problems!
