Winnie & Walter Premiere of The Write Stuff: Leave it to Mom

I'm super excited to be back as guest designer on Day 3
of the winnie & walter premiere week!

You'll definitely see a connection to yesterday's premiere with this one...
The Write Stuff: Leave it to Mom!

This set features another beautiful silhouette stamp, a frame, flowers, and tons of sentiments!

My first thought when I saw this set was...chalkboard technique!
I stamped the frame, silhouette, and scroll in white pigment ink, then added some chalk marker dots, pearls, resin flowers, and a banner! What mom wouldn't love to receive a card that says "Mother Knows Best"?! haha! I added a little patterned paper behind the chalk tag (a package of them was a random Marshall's clearance find) and used a stencil with modeling paste for texture on the white base. I also splashed a little Heidi Swapp color mist in there, because I may be addicted to it. Shhhh.

For my second card, I embossed the silhouette stamp in white on a wooden tag. Love this look! The first tag I made (yes, there was a first and a second) had the most beautiful markings on it, but I noticed the heat embossing kind of warped it, so I tried to bend it back in place. Don't try to bend wood. It won't work. (Don't tell my science teacher I did that!)

The frame is also embossed in white, can you see it hiding behind the tag? The bright yellowish card is from Glitz, the Finnley Bits & Pieces package, that came with one of my Jenni Bowlin kits, but it seemed to fit so perfectly here, I had to add it. I think it could work for a mom to send to a daughter or for a daughter to send to a mom. So sweet.

For my last card, I wanted to use the "WWMD" stamp that came with the set. I love the clean lines of the font, so went more CAS with this one. Super easy and quick card to make. I stamped the silhouette stamp onto the back of the patterned paper and cut it out. You get a reverse image this way, sort of like getting two stamps in one. Oooh, a cool idea would be to use the dad silhouette from yesterday and the reversal of the mom silhouette so they are facing each other. That would make a great wedding or anniversary card! Okay, gotta go try that now! lol!

I'm entering this last card into the CAS•ology Roots challenge
Nothing says "roots" to me like mom! She still keeps me grounded at 47! lol!

Wonderful set of cards. And, your silhouette for the root interpretation is CAS perfection. Love your idea of stamping on the reverse side and cutting out. Fab way to stretch your stamps.

I couldn't wait to come and see how you got the diagonal striped silhouette. You smart girl! That totally would not have dawned on me. I thought maybe you used the cut file. Another awesome set of cards, Angie!!
