Kazan's Sketch #26: Best Wishes

Hey y'all! Hope everyone is having a good week! I haven't been in the stamp room much, but decided at 10:30 to give Kazan's Sketch #26 a go, crazy, right?! I did have a *short* nap earlier, shhhhhh, don't tell!

Anyway, here's what I came up with while watching Sex and the City re-runs. I decided to use the Oval Scallop Punch while looking at the sketch, but now I'm not sure they show up very well with the black and white polka dot paper...scraps laying on my desk, you know! While looking for ribbon I decided I should start using up more of my SU In Colors as they will soon be replaced in July, so that led to the Tangerine Tango ribbon, which then led to the Pink Paislee chipboard letters...not an exact match, but close enough. To keep it from looking totally *Halloween* I went with the Baja Breeze card base, which is embossed with the Big Shot Backgrounds 1 Texturz plate, hard to see in the photo. And that was that...

I should try to get to bed I suppose! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Recipe
Stamps: Simple Salutations.
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango, My Mind's Eye polka dot paper.
Ink: Basic Black marker.
Accessories: Oval Scallop Punch, Tangerine Tango Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Basic Black Library Clip, Baja Breeze Corduroy Button, Black Hemp, Big Shot, Backgrounds 1 Texturz plate, Pink Paislee chipboard letters.

I really like your interpretation of the sketch! I think it shows that you don't have to stick to every single shape of the original sketch and interpret it to fit your needs. :)

I am also working diligently on using those InColours ribbons and ornaments before they retire on me! I don't know that two months will be enough to finish it all, though!

I'd love to live inside of your head for one creative moment. Your cards often leave me wishing I had thought of that first. Your card is so cute!

Hey Angie! What a cute card! Love the colors!
Hey you said you didn't have a light box, but would like one. Well a fellow blogger Courtney, had a post on her blog about making your own light box. I haven't made one yet, but others have and said it was easy. So here is the instructions if you would like to try it! :) Have a Blessed day!

This is darling! I love the different use of the scallop oval punch as a polka dot backdrop for the letters.
