FS111: Polka Dot Punches

Hi-ho! Hi-ho! It's off to work I go...Yes, spring break is over, sigh. It was good while it lasted! Hee! Hee! I worked on school stuff all day Sunday, but when I saw the Featured Stamper 111 over at Splitcoast was Beate, the queen of all things stamping, I had to play!

I chose this card of Beate's from April 23, 2006. I thought it would be fun to go back a little bit in time! I changed the colors and stamps and a few other things. I used the Scor-Pal to make the diagonal lines on the top part of the card, and I ended up using the back side because I liked it better. She did a very cool reverse masking technique for her flower part, but I was way too lazy for that, so I used the Big Shot and Lots of Tags Sizzlits set and then the Polka Dot Punches flower with the 5-Petal Flower Punch.

One tip, I wanted to lift the whole piece up on Dimensionals, but sometimes one layer of cardstock is kind of *thin* and doesn't seem sturdy and strong enough (this one was especially after all that scoring). For those times, I adhere a leftover piece of chipboard to the back of the cardstock, cut just a little bit smaller. It really gives it a good, sturdy feel and look. Hope that description was understandable!

Okay, off to get ready for school! Hope you have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

This is so soft and pretty. What a great card to CASE.

I always have to laugh when I leave a comment on your blog because I get the craziest Word Verification things to type in and I'm always making up nonsense definitions for them. This one is "nudomath" - is that when you run out of clothes and have to do math homework?
