Mr. Twigster Trio

Happy Thursday! Thanks so much for all your comments on the Winter Post Trio from yesterday! I decided I'd try this trio business again...and even though I told myself I wasn't going to get obsessed with using new Holiday Mini Catalog stuff (I have other new sets getting po'ed because they're being ignored!), I couldn't help but using Mr. Twigster again. He's just the cutest snowman ever! I liked Laura's comment about "them possibly being the perfect man!" Too cute!

So here's the first card, using scraps of course, and I pulled out this card base already made and cut out of Sahara Sand, a color I haven't used FOREVER! The size is 6 1/2" x 3 1/4". He's stamped with Staz-On Black ink and colored in with Baja Breeze using an Aquapainter. Oh, and I remembered to "ground" him (thanks, Donna!) using Sahara Sand ink! *wink* I also used another Red Riding Hood snowflake from the Little Felt Flurries...since you get 69 in the package, I'm actually feeling like I can use them instead of hoard them! lol!

More of the same for the second card, but I added Not Quite Navy and used the Splitcoast Sketch Challenge #193. I decided I wanted to color in the Twigster with White Craft Ink and the Aquapainter, I just love that look! I like to call this the big-a** ribbon card! lol! It probably didn't need the photo corner punch up there, but I poked three holes and they were crooked, so it had to be covered up! Doh!

Lastly, I just realized I cheated and Mr. Twigster isn't even on this card! Double doh! But it's the same color scheme, so what the heck. I hadn't used my Join in the Cheer Decorative Strip Big Shot die yet, so I gave it a try. Same as last night, my last card is pretty simple as I start to fizzle out! lol!

I need to go hit my Google Reader for at least 30 minutes...it's up to 206 now! Yikes! I also need to use this to help the blasted sinuses. (I'm afraid this hurricane Ike is going to be a doozy!) Does anyone else have one? It's not pleasant, but it really helps. Speaking of which, I would never do something personal like that while talking on the phone to someone, but I do have to admit while talking to Lori on the phone last night, she busted me with "Are you using your PedEgg right now?!" How embarrassing! But hey, we talked 52 minutes and when this multi-tasker realized her feet were in desperate need of attention and the hours of the night were limited, what's she to do? lol!

Thanks so much for stopping by! You always make my day!

Great cards! It took me awhile to see why you said you "did it wrong." I think that the sketch is just to get you started and go from there, it doesn't have to be exact!! I love your cards!

Your Trio is darling! I just love little Mr. Twigster. Those felt flurries are so nice too. I just ordered some, but haven't gotten them yet. Adorable!

Oh, and the neti pot scares me, but I wonder if it would work for a 3 year old?
