Fabulous Flowers with Cute & Curly

Happy Wednesday! Here's another card I sort of threw together last night with parts laying on my desk. Okay, I know I always say that, so I decided to take some pictures as I was going along to show you! It was night, so the lighting isn't good for the photos, but you can get the idea.

First, I picked up the images I had layered from Fabulous Flowers and not used here a long time ago. There's sort of a messy place in the ink where something was on the stamp that bothered me before, but I thought maybe I could use some glitter to disguise it. I also had the Cute & Curly piece I had punched out with the Curly Label punch from the night before that didn't end up working on the Sock Monkey card down below.

As I started putting the card together, it was looking like this because the flower was going to fit perfectly over the hole in the red polka dot paper. I ended up flipping the brown polka dot piece of paper over (see above) to get the pink/red floral side of the paper showing.

So you'll see how true it is, here are many "parts" on my messy desk. I find it much easier to start on a card with a pile of parts to work with. When I finally can't take it anymore and clean off my desk (about once a month!), I always have a hard time getting started again! I don't know where to start when there's nothing to start with! lol!

Thanks for your comments on yesterday's post and Beverly Hills 90210. It really hit hard when I read Alex's comment about "that's an hour of your life you'll never get back"...but it's worse...it was 2 hours!! Doh! I do have to go catch Project Runway (right now I'm torn between Kenley, Korto, and Terry...what about you?) here at 8:00 while I go check out all your fabulous blogs! That's one thing I always do, multi-task! If I do watch a tv show, I'm either stamping or surfing or cleaning, etc. while I do it. And last year I would have added "grading papers" to that list, but not this year with my new RtI job. And yes, I'm loving it, by the way!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have you stamped something today?

I think I like your method of leaving the scraps out...I file mine and they never get used! I think I'm missing out on some creativity!

You are a hoot! You know that, right? I love this card, seeing where it came from made it all the better! That should be a new kind of challenge. "Pick 4 anything and make something dang it!" And, it better be as good as Angie's. No, then others would be sad ~ because there's no comprison to you my friend!

Gorgeous card Angie! I would say that working with your scraps works great for you! I love how you used the dp with the hole in it. I never would have thought of that!

Wow! Thats such a creative way of using all your scraps! I'm going to file away your idea about using the large stamped image to cover the circle in your paper: so never thought of that! I have drawers full of circle hole'd bits of paper if ya know what I mean! Love seeing how your card came together: you make it look effortless!!

I didn't even try the 90210 - thought I'd be so confused! Kenley's my favorite on PR though!!! Love her retro style - although I wasn't loving the purple feather shoulder pad looking things on her dress she wore to elimination.

Anyway my upline told me about your blog and I have to say how much I LOVE it! I now check it everyday...which is saying something b/c I have less than 10 blogs I check daily.

I stamped 3 cards tonight - the one I posted on my blog was for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #21 (http://scrappinsarahinmo.blogspot.com). Are you doing hers this week? I LOVED your card using Organic Outlines and was so happy she picked it last week. I won that set at Convention so I was excited to see such a fun use for it! :)

Have a fantabulous day!

Ok, so fun, I love seeing what you did with your scraps...I don't ever think about using my scraps like that, I will save some and think well, I can punch a circle out there, but other than that I throw mine away...I will definatly be looking at my scraps a little closer now! :)

Also, I love that your desk is messy too! Mine is always that way! :)

I had to laugh when I read your post - I am always trying to make a card out of scraps on my desk! Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't - but a girl can always try!! Darling card - just fabulous! Love how you combined all the elements together!

your scrap pile looks like mine. I do like to clean up and get a fresh start, but like you some of my greated inspiration comes from the stuff laying around! I do love how you used a layout that covered up those punched out pieces-great idea.
