Happy Birthday, Michele!

Woot! Woot! It's time for a Birthday Blog Hop for one Amazeballs woman, Michele Gros!

You probably know her better as the founder of the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge blog (where you probably saw from last week's challenge that her birthday was coming up this week!) and the founder and creator of CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

The Girl Fridays decided we needed to show her some extra birthday love today because we are so crazy about her! If you are following along the hop, you just came from Pamela's blog. That girl is crazy, artsy talented!

I loved the card I made for our birthday challenge, but thought I would kick it up a notch for Michele's "official" card. You've probably seen Julie's amazing tutorial for a new washi tape shaker card, or at least some cool cards made using the technique, so I gave it a go using the Amazeballs stamp set. Instead of using sequins for my shaker bits, I used the enamel dots from My Mind's Eye. I stuck a few down permanently so they'd line up under the stamped circles, but I left the rest "free" to be shaken. I dipped the enamel dots in clear embossing powder, then dusted them off, so they wouldn't be sticky on the back anymore.

Hope you enjoy the card and our blog hop for Michele! From here, you'll want to head on over to Leigh Ann's blog to check out her fantabulous birthday card! If you get lost along the way...or want to venture out on your own...here are the hop stops:

Leigh Ann
Sanketi
Alice
Kelly
Jingle
Lorena
Lindsay
Sylvia
Deb
Jocelyn
AJ
Pamela
Angie

The Ink Squad girls from CAS-ual Fridays are also hosting a blog hop for Michele! Is she loved or what?! You can follow along with them too: Dana, Karen, Kelly, Laurie, Lynn, Michelle, Piali, and Virginia

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

  18. Awesome card - and quite the 'newcomer' on the block with your enamel dot shakers! As a former high school teacher (resigned, not retired - all due to politics, which I know you understand, given the changes your school is experiencing), I've often said that elementary teachers are blessed with many things, but especially big, warm hearts, patience and creativity plus. You've proven me right time and again with your great cards! Thank you for brightening my day immensely with your comments on my His and Hers Birthday cards! So thrilled to hear from you!!
