Halloween Night

Happy Thursday night! I hear Friday night calling, it's almost here...

In the meantime, here's a little card I made for the Retro Sketches #30 challenge. Yep, more of that fabby paper I can't stop using, plus a *fierce* little Tim Holtz cat stamp, embossed in black!

Adios! Panic sitting in for what tomorrow is bringing and how I'll face it with 5 hours sleep, ha! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Get Well Wishes

Hey, hey, hey! I did a quick play last weekend with this fabulous sketch from Pals Paper Arts and these yummy colors from CR84FN63! If you know me, you know blue is my favorite color, so no way could I resist denim, tan, and brown! *smile*

When I went to save the photo of this card, I found no Nature Walk stamp set folder on my computer. Wow. Apparently I've never, ahem, used this stamp set. How could it be?! lol! The samples made with it in this year's catalog are gorgeous, so it has crossed my mind a few times. I hope my dear friend likes this card, even though I think I should have stamped the bird up higher on the paper, sigh.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

CAS-ual Fridays #71: Fall Fun

It's CAS-ual Fridays time! Whoo! Hoo! Come play along with CAS-ual Fridays challenge #71 Fall Fun: create a CAS project inspired by autumn!

I was super fortunate to receive some fabulous stamps from this week's sponsor, Great Impression Stamps, and I had a ball! Isn't that tree (#G27) fabulous?! I was immediately drawn to it because it's so timeless, not just for Halloween and fall! I embossed it in black here and paired it with their Halloween Greetings (#A134), such a great spooky type!

There's still time for you to play along and enter your fall project for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Great Impression Stamps! They have a great selection of different styles of stamps, go check them out!

I have one more card to share tonight that is *not quite* clean and simple! This is the first card I made for the challenge, and whoa, what got into me?! hehe! There's still a little spot of plain "black" space, so I guess the eyes can rest there, right?!

I hope to see your CAS fall projects over at CAS-ual Fridays! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Friend

Happy Saturday night! How are things in your world?! I spent a great evening celebrating (belatedly) my friend Lori's birthday. What would we do without our girlfriends?! Thanks, Lori and Nicole, for a great night! *wink*

This is the card I made for Lori using the colors from The Play Date Color Cafe Challenge #150. Totally yummy, right?! I didn't have that "flamingo" shade so I just did the best I could! I attached it to a gift bag below. Nothing like using your card for a gift bag embellishment at the last minute, right?! haha!

Okay, better call it a night. Off to finish reading more about Mr. and Mrs. Darcy and what they're up to after the wedding! *wink*

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

I was so lucky to receive the Just Hello stamp set to play with from this week's sponsor, Neat & Tangled stamps! Oh my cuteness, and it stamps like a DREAM!

Do you think I should have added a "maybe" to my card?! Every time I see this card, I start singing that song, sheesh! It is catchy, and kind of nice when guys in uniform sing it (check out You Tube!).

You'll want to enter this week's challenge for the chance to win a $20 gift certificate!

Or you can go ahead and shop now and get free shipping! hehe!
Their Halloween sets and adorable Little Tangles set with a chevron are calling my name! :)

As always, check out the inspiration from the Girl Fridays over at the CAS-ual Fridays blog AND on our CAS-ual Fridays Facebook page!! (Just search for it like that: CAS-ual Fridays.)

Come play along! I can't wait to see what *color* you pick!

Make a Wish!

Happy Sunday! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! We have been blessed to have some rain and cool weather in Dallas, so thankful!

I snuck away from work for awhile to make a quick birthday card! I can't stop using the Cakewalk products from October Afternoon! Maybe I need to go shopping again?! ha! I used Retro Sketches #29 fabulous sketch, so easy to work with, and I just flipped it on its side.

I'll be back tomorrow with my CAS-ual Fridays card, yay! I got to work with some yummy stamps from Neat and Tangled, and I am in love! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Dry, heat, or a combination of the two, it's completely up to you!

I used some yummy paper and die-cut stickers from October Afternoon's Cakewalk line and embossed them with the Stampin' Up Argyle embossing folder for my card. I never seem to have enough birthday cards ready when needed, so now I can add this one to my stash! *smile*

Ready to play along?!

receive a $25 gift certificate from our sponsor, Simon Says Stamp!

ABCs

Happy Sunday! Hope you are enjoying your weekend! This "cold front" has been a huge relief to us here in Texas! :)

I needed another "schoolish" card since our wonderful Vice-Principal got promoted to Principal at another campus, so I played along with the Friday Mashup Challenge #75. I "mashed" together both back-to-school and sewing. And yes, I freehanded that apple shape, so don't laugh! *wink*

Okay, back to work! I told dh to be patient, that I almost had school under control and would see him again soon. He said, "What?! It's only September!" haha! I was trying to be optimistic!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

CAS-ual Fridays #68: Top of the Class

It's CAS-ual Fridays time! I hope you'll play along with this week's challenge CFC#68: Create a CAS Back-to-School project! Fun, right?!  As a teacher, I have quite a stash of school stuff, so I reached in deep and pulled out some rub-ons from Imaginisce and paired them with some new ruled paper from the Stampin' Up! Storytime collection. I always feel better about cutting into current patterned paper because I know it can be replaced! hehe!

So what are you playing for this week?! A gift certificate from our fabulous sponsor, Pretty Paper Studio! Go and check them out!

Okay, now it's your turn! If you haven't entered a card yet, there's still time! You have until Thursday noon EST. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Play Date Cafe #147: Smile

Happy Labor Day to all the peeps in the US! I guess that's a good reason to smile!

I'm enjoying my 3 day weekend and thought I'd play along with the Play Date Cafe Challenge #147, aren't the colors beautiful?! I tried to really "stretch" myself by using a card base not white or kraft! hehe!

I think this is my first challenge, other than CAS-ual Fridays, since I started back to school! eeek! School is going great, though, and I was so happy to see the kiddos and meet so many new ones too. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
