CAS-ual Fridays #66: Splish Splash

It's CAS-ual Fridays time! Whoo! Hoo!

I hope you can play along with this week's CFC66 Splish Splash: create a CAS project featuring something you might see in or at the ocean! Cool, right?!

I'm not a beachy or outdoorsy type, so I had to really dig in my stash and get creative, as I *hope* you can tell! hehe! I tried to think of a play on words with "whale" and all I could think of was this song from my youth. (I did consider some expressions with "you blow" or "shut your blow hole" but dh was adamantly against it. :o Naughty me!)

On to the good stuff...what you are playing for this week...a $20 gift certificate from this week's sponsor, Stop and Scrap.com! Plus, they are oh so generously offering a 10% discount to all CAS loving players, just use this discount code: PLCAS10 which is valid August 17 - 23.

Be sure and head over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog and join us! You'll want to check out the great cards from the other Girl Fridays as well as all of the fabulous entries so far! I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

It's CAS-ual Fridays time!
You'll love this week's challenge, CFC65 Square Cards: make a CAS square card!
How fun and easy, right!

This week's fabulous sponsor, Stampotique, was so generous and gave the Girl Fridays our choice of stamps to play with! I chose this darling moon and sentiment. Isn't it sweet? If you haven't been to their website, check it out. I was overwhelmed with the HUGE number and styles of stamps to choose from!
The winner of this week's challenge will have fun shopping at Stampotique with a $30 gift certificate!! Go check out the amazing inspiration from the Girl Fridays, you are going to love seeing all their square cards with different Stampotique stamps!
As always, you have until Thursday, noon EST!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

p.s I took one of your tips and used a Swiffer sheet on my black cardstock before heat embossing, and it worked so much better! Thanks!

In the End

Happy Saturday! Three weeks back to school and I'm woefully behind on blog posts already! What can I say, every year I think it will be different, and I'm not giving up yet! *smile*

I made this card for a friend using the Less Is More #78 challenge, but I'm afraid I've missed the deadline for submitting, by a couple of weeks, oops! But that's okay, I'm still sticking to my plan of making *needed* cards. Although I've found making them doesn't necessarily mean they get mailed or distributed, grrrr. Another new goal for me! lol!

Hope you have a wonderful Saturday! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

CAS-ual Fridays #64: On Cloud 9

It's CAS-ual Fridays time! This week's CFC #64: On Cloud 9...make a CAS project featuring things you'd see in the sky!

I showed you one of my cards yesterday, but I ended up playing some more and using some new Simple Stories Summer Fresh collection. I heart it so much! (The rectangular denim piece with the little banners comes that way, I just added the letter stickers!) I got fixated on using the expression "What's New" with the "newspaper" clouds and couldn't let it go! haha! Maybe some of you got it before I spelled it out, lol!

I know you'll want to play along with us this week! Be sure and check out the inspiration from the other Girl Fridays, plus the phenomenal entries submitted so far! There are some uber creative paper crafters over there! Plus, you'll want a chance to be our special guest designer in September AND the chance to win a $25 gift certificate from this week's sponsor, Simon Says Stamp! I know I would have no problem spending that!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Keep Looking Upward

Happy Sunday!

Tomorrow night I'll have my "official" card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #64: On Cloud 9...create a project using things you'd see in the sky, but in the meantime, I thought I would go ahead and share this card of mine that I didn't end up using. Now that I see it again, I think I like it better than the other card I made! lol!

I love that Charlotte Bronte quote. Good advice, I daresay. I was reading a book last week by Julie Klassen and came across it. I printed it on white cardstock, then added the other details.

Hope you're enjoying your weekend and staying cool! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!

Keep Calm Little Lady

Happy Thursday!

Isn't this a great sketch from Less Is More?!

I had some leftover hexagons from this card, so I hated for them to go to waste. Then I had been itching to use my new October Afternoon 9 to 5 stamps, love them in the red rubber cling mount! I added the Stampin' Up! "Keep Calm" and a little washi tape, and voila! I know a number of people who could use this card, but it's going to one friend in particular! *smile*

Stay cool, my friends! Thanks for stopping by!

Birthdays are the Best!

Happy Wednesday! Remember my new plan to only make cards for specific reasons/recipients in mind? Well, Tuesday at work I came across 3 card needs already! I guess the key will be listening and paying attention..."Hmmm, that person needs a card for that!"

First up, a birthday that surprised all of us, so I played along with the Paper Players #106 Tic Tac Toe challenge! Isn't this a fun challenge?! I went with the horizontal top line for the win...circles, birthday, and blue, my favorite color. And I'm proud (or maybe embarrassed) to say, except for the circle with sentiment and tape strip, the other parts for this card were all laying on my desk, previously abandoned from other card attempts. ha! Love being productive like that! :)

Okay, off to tackle another one of those card needs and then get a little school work done. Do you know how scary it is trying to come up with trainings for teachers?! Eeeek!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs and happy stamping!
